There are two options if your CAB wishes to carry out certification work:
1. Become an accredited certification body
2. Work as an associate of one of the accredited certification bodies
The second option allows you to gain more experience with the certification procedures and enables you to apply for accreditation at a later stage. If you wish to become an associate CAB, contact us for details.
Accreditation Process
The initial accreditation process usually takes about 6 months.
Step 1: Preform an initial inquiry to gather all necessary information via our contact form
Step 2: Submit application form together with application fee.
Please include all relevant information at the time of your application. The scope of accreditation must be clearly indicated on the application form and cannot be change without additional fees.
Step 3: Wait for application approval
ASIC will review your application and ask for more information if needed. Upon completing application, ASIC will forward you the contract for accreditation.
Step 4 (optional): Preliminary visit at your location
If you have stated in your application form that you wish for a preliminary visit, we will arrange a visit at your office to assess your preparedness for accreditation. You will receive a written report with all suggestions and nonconformities detected.
Step 5: Document review at ASIC office
ASIC will ask procedures and other relevant documents for the purpose of preliminary assessment.
Step 6: On site audit
At arranged time, ASIC auditors will be at your office to evaluate your competence and capability and verify your compliance with accreditation requirements and the relevant certification standards. You will need to demonstrate that your auditors are qualified and show expertise to correctly implement the accreditation and certification requirements.
Step 6: Granting accreditation
Based on the outcome of the audit accreditation is granted initially for 3 years.
Step 7: Certificate issuance
Certificates can be issued in your native language, as well as in English. You will also be presented with accreditation mark and manuals.
